Alrighty gals! My in laws are in town for 11 days starting today. (Not staying with us) And although I love my SIL and can't wait to meet my new nephew, I will be still be infested with lots of in law relatives practically ever day.
My plan is to stay in neutral mode for the duration. I've already done the stressed out cleaning thing and also arranged for our house helper to come an extra couple of days. I'm going to try to keep everyone's schedules as steady as possible, since all evenings and weekends will be up in the air. I've scheduled an additional therapy appointment and got a refill on my Xanax with the blessings of my very understanding doc. Kept my work schedule exactly the same and warned my friends that I may be calling a little bit more often to vent. I've even arranged for my SIL to borrow an extra car along with all of the necessary car accessories to use so she doesn't feel cooped up.
We will see how this year goes. I'm hoping that I've learned the techniques to survive this with grace. No one can ever say that I don't learn from my mistakes.
