Yesterday Ivy was hanging out with my brother and my sister. She had dirt on her hand that had gotten kind of smudgy. She told them, "Look at that. See, I'm turning black just like Becken. Because he is my brother and I am his sister." The things that they come up with.
Today, she was at tennis lessons. When I came to pick her up, one of the teachers was walking her inside. I sat on the steps and waited for them to come back out. When they came back, I asked Ivy if she was ok. She said, "Yeah mom. We just went inside so I could get a blue popsicle instead of a pink one. I don't like the pink one." Leave it to Ivy to wrangle out her fave flavor without blinking an eye. When I was her age, I would have suffered in silence if I would have gotten a kind that I didn't care for. She is such her own person. Well, I don't think that she will need the best diet pill when she gets older if she refuses to eat things she doesn't like. Good for her! Unless it's her vegetables!
