I think that I gained 4 pounds

First of all, let me remind you all that this past weekend was my birthday weekend celebrating my favorite holiday, my birthday. I still love writing "my birthday" even though it is now 363 days away. Hey, I should put one of those countdown dealies on here to I can always console myself by remembering that every day spent is one day closer to another birthday. Yay!

And which birthday was it?
37 piece of heaven! My aunt came up with that one. All of my 30s have some sort of rhyme to them. Some may be unprintable as I think Chris made them up, but I'll try to remember a few :)

Speaking of the hubby, he was very close to sabotaging this birthday but has since redeemed himself, as he usually does. And this time since it was such an almost freaking disaster, he is still being punished and I'm enjoying every minute of it. And building my spring wardrobe as well. Yeah, I know that I'm the wife from hockey sticks, but he was the one who wanted to get married! You get what you pay for and I was free and then some!

Anyway, I wanted to enjoy many favorite meals starting with my family dinner on Friday at Red Lobster. Here is the menu of yums that I ate my way thru.

Friday am to afternoon
no food until dinner as I wasn't super hungry and I wanted to save room for birthday night. Friend and constant emailer and texter during Friday to check on me and my recovery from hubby experience from almost hell on Thursday night. Her last call, said, "birthday drinks?" Oh yeah, I'm all over that one! She bought me raspberry margaritas, on the rocks, no salt. Love her and loved it!

Friday dinner-
lobster. A caesar salad with no croutons. Lobster. LOBSTER! and a baked potato, which was loaded and I was saving until I could eat it this week, but the waitress took it away when I wasn't looking and I was so sad. I love baked potatoes and Chris hates them so I never get them unless I go out and choose one. Chris said that he would make me a baked potato when I told him about it. Like I said, the effer was in the doghouse big time.

How big time?
Big time enough to call to see if he was still invited to family dinner and then walked in with a rose all shame faced. As he should have because he knows how I blab to my family when I'm pissed. He was in the doghouse will all of them too until that romantic gesture. They have forgiven him. As I have too, but let's not let him know about that.

Friday After dinner-
more raspberry margaritas. And don't let the plurals fool you. I only had 2 over the course of 6 hours.

Saturday morning -
(more like 11 when I woke up) slice of cheesecake. In bed. Because I screamed for it. I'm bad!! And hey, I deserve to be spoiled. It was my birthday!

Saturday night - The Old Spaghetti Factory (the only restaurant franchise that I'd ever consider backing)
in a 2 hour far away city. Without kids. (more on that later) Chris hadn't ever been there and was impressed. Crab stuffed ravioli and the manager's special of half clam sauce and half mizithra cheese over noodles. I almost ate all of it.

Sunday morning -
eggs benedict and baklava from a greek restaurant in walking distance from our hotel. Sparkling raspberry juice to drink.

Sunday night-
my fave sub from subway. spicy italian. Only 6 inches though. What do you think I am? An eating machine?

Guess who is fasting today?
Lemon water, pureed, fresh veggie soup with no salt and an avocado. Tastes wonderful though. And I'm not joking!

Off to make myself some herbal tea.

PS -
to all of you, but probably my resident friend and math fiend extraordinaire, Katie fu. Does anyone want to figure out the kcals of the weekend? I'm curious to know!

Sounds like a perfect birthday celebration! I am so glad it went well - minus the husband issue - but at least you have the sucking up going on, that's always nice. :)

*hugs*

I love Math, but one thing I never count is calories!

And I agree with everyone else--calories don't count on your birthday, Thanksgiving, and
Christmas!
