And the saga continues...

Guess what I get to do on Friday morning?
I get to head to the hospital again and have a D&C!!! Oh joy!

This will actually be the 3rd D&C that I've had since I've had kids, so it's nothing new. And in all actuality, I just knew that with all of the uterine trauma of having Hendrix, that the possibility of having another one was pretty high.

I've been feeling so tired and having a large amount of flow since I had him that hasn't stopped. I finally told my sis last night that I was going to call in to the clinic today to see if they could get me in next week. Well, they got me in today and did an u/s and found the offending remaining membrane. The u/s tech said that some women have to do this after every pregnancy and that is turning out to be me!

When Dr. S. came in to talk to me, she said that normally, they are very diligent about rubbing down the uterus after delivery, but since they were literally holding my uterus together, they must have missed the remaining 1.5 cm that is still up within the fundus. I told her that I just needed it out so I could start fresh again. She agreed.

She also said that I'm anemic from all of the blood loss which would be causing a lot of my fatigue. And that I needed to start eating! As, I've lost 20 pounds since I had H. This is not a diet that I would recommend! But, only 3 pounds to go until pre preg. weight.

On a great note, we took H in for his check up. He has gained 5 oz, and this is what they wrote on his chart. "Baby looks wonderful. Keep doing what you are doing!" Now those are words after a mama's heart!

How about another pic?

Ready to go home

I'm glad you're getting it figured out. You are such a trooper. And your boy is so very precious...I can't stop looking at your pics. Love to you!

Karianne,

Take good care of yourself. I just found out that I too am anemic and have to take iron pills twice a day now. I cannot tell you how much better I feel since my blood levels have come back up. It is amazing how much fatigue you can get from low blood. I couldn't even walk past the bedroom without having to go in an lay down for a bit. It really sucked. I can't imagine having three little ones and feeling that way. Listen to the doctor and start eating. Hendrix it totally adorable and looks perfect. Happy New Year!

Awww, man! Honestly though, I think I'd rather go the D&C route than do it naturally (then again, I've never had a D&C, so what do I know?) I had a peice of retained tissue after my last delivery, that made me bleed forever. It was so disgusting when it came out, I thought I was going to pass out pulling that disgusting grossness out of me. Oh my gosh. Ewww. Anyway, I'm praying for you.

Hugs

PS How could I forget to comment on that little man -- he is ADORABLE and so, so tiny! My Fancy is a giant in comparison!
