It's this late and I'm posting?

Well, I just got back from my brother's 30th birthday party that we threw for him and for the National Pancreas Foundation. It was very fun, we made some money but not enough to really even cover expenses. I have a lot of random things going through my mind that I want to get out of there before I head to bed. Kind of like using a Garmin GPS for my sanity.

• One of the main reasons that my brother wanted to have this shin dig was to bury some hatchets in his life. After tonight, I am more than convinced that some hatchets need to be left right where they are.
• Both of my kids have best friends that are so dear to them I can't even imagine what that would be like at such a young age.
• The women that I work with are amazing. I'm so lucky.
• My family knows how to have fun.
• I'm so glad that I'm not married to my first husband anymore. Not that I don't care for the guy or anything, but whenever we all happen to be together, it is just so obvious what a fit Chris and I are to each other. I'm very lucky to know and appreciate the difference.
• My feet are not cut out for high heels. Even if said heels are one inch high.
• I'm a die hard party goer and planner. Although I had my feet up for quite a bit of the time, I was still one of the last ones to leave.
• I'm not looking forward to clean up tomorrow.
• There are some people that bring out the worst in others. My brother happens to have dated many women like this and they all displayed their colors true to form.
• Hendrix is a very good party goer too.
• I think that my niece is starting to get into those preteen hormones. It hurts to watch. I wish she didn't have to go through it.
• I really miss going out on the weekends and dancing. I love that part of my life and I need to do it more often.
