Arachna-karia

If I start scaling walls and slinging webs, we're all gonna be rich!

A couple of days ago, I noticed a spider bite on my calf. The calf on my body, that is. I thought, "that's weird. I must have gotten a spider bite."

My sis has been out of town and I showed it to her today. She said, "Girlie, I'd get that checked. It could be a staph infection." Yikes.

I called my PCP and they were packed until tomorrow. I went in to our local Urgent Care. They said that I have an infected spider bite.

I'm thinking that infected means double the spidey powers, at least.

And how funny that Chris and Ivy have been totally into Spiderman this past weekend. Chris the real movie, Ivy the cartoon. Could it have been the suggestive powers of the cinema that brought Mr. Spider to bite me?

So, I'm on antibiotic cream. If it gets bigger, it has to be lanced. I think that would help how it feels immensely. You can feel the heat off of it thru my pant leg. Bring on the Super Powers!

Oh man...I didn't know that a spider bite could get infected!!!

Here's hoping your spider bite gets better. Have Chris kiss it. :)

Ugh! That is so scary about the staph infections, isn't it? The daycare at our church had them going around (not the medication resistant strain), and I was freaked out!

Infected spider bites sound painful! Hope it gets better soon!

Be careful with that.

My Father got bitten by a spider last summer and had to spend about four days in hospital with it. There was even talk of having to bring his leg off. Eventually, they cut a HUGE chunk out of his leg and told him to come home and rest for the rest of the summer. He was literally out-of-commission for about four months.

Very scary stuff.
