Now, I know this is going to sound crazy. But I love Mondays. Even when I was in grade school, I loved Mondays as long as there wasn't a party or a field trip involved. Yes, I was weird even back then. I think that it has something to do with the routine of a Monday. And the fall back into the normal.
Unfortunately, Fridays have been difficult for me at times. Especially when I taught preschool at my mom's center. The kids were exhausted from a week of school. I was exhausted from teaching. And then, come pick up times (in the evenings) parents were late either trying to finish things up for the weekend, or because they went out to celebrate the end of the week with coworkers. And the parents were crabby as well.
But, as I have been living my life lately, Thursdays are the roughest. Chris has a good mood for Fridays but is dragging come Thursday. The kids are ready for both mommy and daddy time but mommy and daddy are barely getting through the week. The last couple of weeks instead of getting take out on Fridays, I moved it up to Thursday. Last week was off because I had Chris get dinner instead of me. Lesson learned for this week. And I also let Chris in on the info that Thursdays are yucky for mommy. I think that he already knew.
So, today was wonderful once again even with Becken waking up at 530 am. I did a mile on the treadmill before I even got into the shower. I wrote 3 articles for the job blog. (Writing and reading you guys was my reward for that) I did Yoga Booty Ballet. I worked for 3 hours doing office work at the center. I was there for my spa partner Teresa when she had to cancel her day from that icky cold. I visited with my mom. Ivy and I had lunch and a nap together. I folded and put away 3 loads of laundry. Started dinner with soup stock that my Nana made for us. And mostly, I was patient and nice to my kids. That doesn't always happen on Thursdays. See last Thursdays TT for a great example of this.
It also has something to do with being rested from 2 days off. And having an extra set of hands for 2 days straight. And something also to do with being self employed. I really do love Mondays. I think that I might have been born on a Monday too. I'll have to check on that.
Anybody else want to chime in?

I always seem to find plenty to do on Monday at the office. The more I think about it, the only thing I don't like about Mondays is having to get out of bed. But that's on every day ending with the letter "y." College really spoiled me. I used to pop right out of bed, but I had a roommate who hit snooze all the time. It sort of rubbed off on me. :P Ah, well!
Ivy may have my eyes, but I think you are Princess Leia's soulmate! Yoga Bootie Ballet - I have no idea what it is, but I am certain that she would LOVE it.
I agree with you, the weekends are nice to have those extra set of hands. I also look forward to the normalcy of Mondays! :O)
I forgot to mention that Numa was named after John read the Tarzan "Graystone" book. Numa was the name of the Panther in the book, I think. :O)
I've wanted to start some strength training or yoga, I've never heard of Yoga Bootie Ballet. Sounds interesting.
It's good that Chris can pick up on how your feeling. My husband is finally starting to pick up on how some of my days aren't all good.
For me, after a weekend, it's hard to get going on Mondays.
