My Afternoon/Evening Email Report

I just wrote this email to my girlfriend and thought that I'd post it here as this is what I was going to write about tonight anyway.

So, let's review my day today since 400. Picked up the kids from school. Have been home with kids since 4 by myself. Fed them dinner, played with them, made dinner. Got a call from Chris saying that he would be home around 730, but wanted to play pool with John about 830. Fine by me, I say, as long as you help me get the kids down for bed.

Well, guess who just walked out of the door after playing hide and seek, screaming with both kids for 40 minutes? Guess how many kids are still up? Yep, I'm a little pissed. I don't begrudge him time with his dad, but come on! I asked him to help me put them down and then he riles them up and bails?

Anyway the meds are great as I felt like today was the first day in forever that I haven't NEEDED a nap. Not that I don't always want a nap! No fever and not too much coughing. You know what is really weird though, I'm actually supposed to be allergic to this antibiotic family, but since I'm on so many allergy meds, I'm not breaking out. Cool huh?

Our dryer broke at the spa today with 4 therapists in and behind on laundry. So I did my morning appt, then lugged laundry home and back all day. At one point, one of Ivy's scarves fell into our drain sink and water flooded all over the utility room. Soaking the bottom of every box, bag, etc A mess! I always freak out on Chris when he wants to run the dryer when we aren't home, I'm terrified about burning the house down. And now I have an example about what can happen even when you are home. I also have to work tomorrow to accomodate my friend that I had to reschedule. Thank God Chris is off tomorrow. I would ditch him tomorrow, but of course, I planned my time for when the kids napped. I'm irritated.

I just texted Chris telling him why I'm mad, because I'm sure that he thinks it is because he's not spending time with me. I want to keep the record straight. I even had plans for having the house tonight on my own after the kids were asleep. Not anymore.

Thanks for letting me vent. I have a ton of articles to write because I'm broke, but that will be impossible until at least one of them conks out.
