Up at night

Today when I picked up Ivy from dance, I met up with another mom that I've known by acquaintance for years. When I saw her, I commented on her hair and asked if she had got extensions put in. She told me yes, she had them done yesterday. It took over 3 hours and cost $600.

Why have I thought about this over and over today? I have thought about getting extensions before. It is her money to spend, not mine. She can do with it what she wants. Her family is not suffering because she had her hair done. I'm bothered because I'm being judgemental about her decision. If they would have cost $300, would I still be writing this?

This is none of my business. Yet, here I am thinking about it at 2 in the morning.

$600 is a lot of money; $300 is a lot of money. I don't think I've ever spent over $50 getting my hair done. Money is not an unlimited flowing thing in my checkbook, but I think even if it was I could not/would not put out that kind of money on something like hair extensions. I am all about pampering yourself and taking care of you, but I'm sorry $600 is a little much. Karianne, I think it bothering you because you know there are much better uses for that amount of money. Don't worry about others and just take care of you. If $600 hair extensions is what is going to make you feel better about yourself than that is your decision and only your decision. Love Ya!
