The Angel Kamikazed Me!

Here is our Nativity Scene that we have on top of our armoire which holds our tv, dvd, stereo and movies. Behind Mary and Joseph there is supposed to be an arched structure that has an angel hanging on it. The arch has always been without one side, so we have to use one of the wise men to support it. Last year the angel fell and broke off one of her feet that we couldn't ever find, which makes me wonder if she came with both feet in the first place.

Well, last Friday I was getting out a used grocery sack that we keep shoved into a space by the stereo. When I shut the door, I heard a crash and then felt things flying by my face and neck.

After cringing, then looking on the floor, I found the sheep (intact), the donkey (missing one ear), and the angel (broken in half at the waist, arm broke off and both hands broke off).

I don't know why I found this so funny, but I did! Chris is in the midst of trying to fix her up but everytime I see her, I start to laugh. I think that she doesn't want to hang on that rickety arch anymore. She's flying outta here! If I would have had a concussion or a wound or something it would have been even funnier. Could you imagine that story? Ummm, "my nativity attacked me!" I'm laughing about it right now!

TOTALLY FUNNY!! You know you can take that to the newspapers with the headliner that a freakish Christmas accident occurred. You may get some good news time :)

Yup, that kinda sums up my Christmas decorating efforts, too. Good for you, Angel!

haha, there is something kind of ironic about an angel that can't fly and breaks her bodily pieces off in her attempt to do so. Just that a fake angel decided to come suddenly crashing down on top of you is kind of funny - injury by angel! usually the opposite way around. LOL

Love it!

I agree with Christy, what a great headline, "Freakish Christmas accident occurs one week before Saint Nick's arrival!" Jay Leno might just eat that one up!

On a serious note, thank you for the special Christmas gift. It was very creative and thoughtful!

Love,
Ashley

Hee Hee! Maybe she's just trying to "fly home". Glad she didn't konk you on the head, though, in her haste to take off.
Happy Holidays, KariAnne! Hope you're new year is incredible.

It's good to hear someone else had decorations that just didn't want to stay put! Mine weren't so intent on fleeing the scene, but the shepard just would NOT stay upright. I guess he was just too excited or tired from staying awake so long. Who knows.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas day filled with joy and laughter! Thank you so much for the neato calender. I always wanted to be a pin up.... now I'm Miss May! ;)

much e-love,

Natalie
