Sunday Sanity Or, Sometimes I'm A Genius

Scanned Thank You Card

Today was little miss Ivy's 4th birthday!

Last year we had her party in September, then 3 weeks later in October, had Becken's. It was just too insane. I have a huge family that goes overboard on any celebration, so to have such over the top celebrations so close together was overkill.

This year, we decided to have one big party for both of the kids. Then on their individual days, we will have a small family party with their favorite dinner and their friends once they are older to want that.

Planning has been all consuming, but today it just came together. It worked out splendidly and I'm sure that we'll do it next year too.

But, here is where I'm a genius. I have a horrible time with thank yous and getting them out in a timely manner. I get them done, but they stress the life out of me. Today, I thought, what if I have the "cards" done by the end of the party so I can pass them out to leaving families? I took a quick pic of the kids in their crowns about an hour before the party. I took the pic to Target and altered it so it was kind of a postcard. Then, we passed them out. It was the best idea EVER!! And everyone loved it!

I have to borrow my sis' camera cord again to post party pics, but I'll do it as soon as I can.

Inspired. I have a birthday party to throw this weekend, too. I'm still in denial.
