I rarely ever finish a book that I wouldn't recommend to others, yet two of them snuck up on me this past week that I want to warn you about. Don't waste your time!
The Alchemist's Daughter
I listened to this in the car while driving around to various errands. The voice of the reader was wonderful. Maybe that is why I kept with it for as long as I did. By the time I realized how much it sucked, I was only a couple of discs away from the ending. So, I finished it. It is the kind of book where absolutely nothing happens that makes any sense, and then at the end, you get a sense of something and then it ends. Just like that. I was pissed, but realized that I did it to myself.
Knitting
I saw this at Borders and thought that it looked interesting and my library had it. In the beginning, it had potential and then, nothing. I can't even tell you what it was really about or why someone would write a novel like this, but oh well. At least I didn't waste money on the sucker!
Now, if these two books are your favorites, well, I can bet we don't have similar styles in books because I really didn't care for them at all!

The first one reminds me of a movie I hated.
Eye of the Beholder
YUCK! Don't waste your time.
It has Ewan McGregor and Ashley Judd. Every time I say that people say, "But I love Ewan McGregor and Ashley Judd!" I say, "I know. That's why I watched it. It still sucked!"
