from majorspoilers.comYes, I am now on the other side of hopefully the last in-law visit of the year. Once the holidays come around, there may be another one to deal with, but so far, that is not in the cards, yet. So, I'm reveling in my wonderful respite, not really believing that it is true. Since Chris and I have been together, this brother has lived close and visits quite often. But now he has moved states away and can only fly in. I'm so grateful for this piece of luck.
At all other times, we rarely see Chris' family even though they all live in town. Pretty much keep all to ourselves, except for the hit and miss family dinner at his dad's. But when brother is here, it is an inlaw fest from arrival to departure. For days. Nonstop. It's really not him either, it is how my family schedule is totally disrupted and my husband becomes someone else. And I have to be social, which you guys know I can't do well for any longer than an hour or so every week.
But, hey, what am I doing living in the past? It's over! Chris and I didn't have any WWIIIs, like we sometimes do. I'm doing the happy dance! Life is good here.
(I had a huge post explaining history of wrongdoings here, but I took the high road! Are you proud?)

Enjoy some peace for the rest of the week! You deserve it!
well done. I so get the in-law thing, so I have been thinking about you! Way to take the high road...not an easy task.
It is much harder to keep our mouths shut, than open them, especially when something/someone is just asking for it.
I'm glad you survived! I hope there are no trips to your place planned for anytime soon.
*HUGS*
Oh honey! I'm so happy for you that *it is over*!!! YAY!
Lots of hugs and how about a nice cup of tea?
Love ya!
