I Was Hoping

Well, I thought that I might have the prom pics today, but I guess not. My friends Joe and Lisa are very close to having them done, but got their offer accepted on a new house yesterday! we are so excited for them, but maybe pics will have to be at the end of the week? I'm hoping sooner, but ...

This weekend was so nice, especially food wise!

On Fri we went to Olive Garden to celebrate a friend's birthday. I had the mussels with a salad. On Saturday we had a yard sale at my cousin's house and we made carne asada with pico de gallo and corn tortillas. So good, I can't even tell you.

Then on Sunday, still at cousin's house and still yard selling, we were able to get fresh oysters and grilled them, serving them with lime and hot sauce. OMG! They were amazing. I think that I ate a dozen by myself!

Then to top it off, we made almost $200. For sitting and lounging and eating with family. And getting rid of stuff from the house. And making money. How much better can it get?

My face is better, mildly sore. I went in to the dentist today and she said that sometimes it takes body healing time of 6 weeks, but there shouldn't be any pain. Possibly soreness which is what I have. It is so much better than last week.

Last night we had a celebration with my fam and inlaws to celebrate Bec's one year home. I'm glad that we did it. It's funny, if it hadn't been on a Monday, I don't think that I could have tolerated it. I'm hoping to post some airport pics tomorrow and write a bit about his homecoming.

Yay ! It's so good to *see* you! It sounds like you had a fantastic weekend, despite the still sore tooth. Sorry it's still bothering you! Hoping it is all better soon.

Lovin' seafood myself, it sounds like you all had a blast!

HUGS!

Oh, I'm always so envious of your FOOD as I sit here in the land of brats, lefse, and walleye.
