Thanks Mert

Isn't that a cute image? Mert made it for her readers to use on their blogs for Valentine's Day. So sweet. And talented.

My day was amazing. I had an early massage appointment, but when I dropped the kids off at the center, I had Valentines on my desk. A gift bag from my mom from Starbucks with a couple of cupcakes and an adorable mug and saucer. My aunt had made a goodie bag of some of my favorite cookies and our beloved babysitter Shauntia had left candies for me and the kids. Ivy wore a heart shirt, a heart sweater and jeans with heart shaped pockets for her party. Bec wore jeans and a tee shirt that says, "Ladie's Man". They are adorable.

My appointment was with one of my favorite clients who is also my neighbor. While I was working, my mom left me a message that I had a delivery of flowers and champagne. But she said that she didn't know who they were from. Thankfully, they were from Chris because that would be pretty uncomfortable if they were from some other man, huh?

I went to lunch with my friend that I haven't seen for about a year. We visited from 11 to almost 3! Our poor waitress. We tipped well though. When I got home there were 2 stuffed animals on the door for the kids. A little bear for Bec and a puppy for Ivy. From my Nana, their great grandma. They have been playing with them all night.

As far as the night is going, it really is not what I expected. Chris got home at 7. Within 2 minutes of him getting into the house, his brother showed up for a visit, then his dad stopped by with gifts for the kids. Then they started to watch the game, so I haven't seen my "Valentine" yet at all tonight. Since my team is playing, since I'm antisocial, and since I hate it when people talk while I'm trying to watch the game, I'm watching it alone in the bedroom. It is heaven! The game is really exciting and we are winning at this point, but anything can happen at any time. I love college ball.

My sister's date last night was to die for! What a nice guy. She said that he opened every door, pulled out her chair and helped her on and off with her coat. When they were seated, my sis asked if he had a preference of where he sat. (Our brother Jarod has to sit facing the door) He told her that he would like to sit so he could see the door because his dad and his uncle taught him that when you are out with a lady, you keep an eye on the door to make sure you are aware of things that are happening, so you can keep her safe. OK, too cool! I'd never heard of that before. With his job he has traveled everywhere. And my sis was most impressed with that he has a great appetite and eats everything. He loves to cook. They are going out tonight to my sister's fave authentic Mexican restaurant. Of course, since it is my sis, there has to be drama as well, but I'm not going in to that. I'm happy for her.

On a down side, I found out that my friend MKH's father in law died on Monday. And my friend Lala lost a friend this morning. Lala, I hate cancer too. I'm terrified of it. This must be a week to die.

OMG, this game is getting close! I'm starting to stress! I love college ball! What kind of pass was THAT???
