OK, life is better. I got some Sleep, with a capital S, maybe even SLEEP which is the ultimate.
This cold that I have is so much better but it has really made my vertigo flare up. My ears even pop when I swallow. Last night I took some dramamine which is helpful, but it knocks me out. It was funny because I had forgotten that I had taken it at all and this morning I was telling Chris what a wonderful night's sleep I had. How weird that it was. Funny.
After an early morning with both kids I went back to sleep in our bed, by myself, (yeah) until 830. Chris had got the kids ready so I quickly dressed and we went out to breakfast. The kids were good, the food was ok, then we had a couple errands to run. Both of the kids conked in the car. We were back home at around 11.
Since both kids were out, I went in to take a nap. I told Chris, I'm warm, I'm full and I'm just zoning out. He told me to go for a jog outside. I told him that I was taking full advantage of a simultaneous nap. I slept for almost 4 hours and could have slept longer. It was heaven.
My best friend is Joe D. He and his wife Lisa have a baby MJ who is around 7 months. We had a chance to watch MJ all day yesterday and we were loving it. So was she! She had a permagrin watching I and B run around and play. she cannot wait to chase after them. Along with absolutely loving spending time with her and playing with her, I have a renewed clarity that we are not ready for another one yet. She is the same age that Bec was when he came home from Africa. That weirded me out big time. She is so small, such a baby. And so was Bec. I'm not baby ready yet. And neither is Chris, Ivy or Bec. It is nice to be a family on the same page now. Another strike against the baby gene for me was that Karina got to come in for a massage on Fri and the twinnies are 2 weeks old. And she was still so sore. And so tired. And so happy. I'm glad that I was remembering all of it instead of just the bad like I usually do.
On Friday Chris and I went to dinner at an Italian restaurant where my friend BJB and her quartet were playing. It is nice to have date night on a Friday every once in a while. It has a totally different feel than Sunday night date night. Celebratory. Fun. The food wasn't that great but we went somewhere else for dessert that was FAB. A chocolate torte, with a melty center served with strawberries and white chocolate creme. Yummy. Our bartender was nice and chatty and had very cute short hair.
