Although I don't consider myself as Catholic anymore, I did reserve the practice of Lent to do every year. It helps that my sister and my cousins also observe this, so it is a type of bonding experience, as well as a time of reflection and devotion through small sacrifice.
This year I am offering up my cell phone. Well, in a way. I'm offering up the frivolous use of my cell phone. Every day I try to not talk and drive as I know how dangerous it is. And yet I find myself doing it. I get so angry that I impulsively pick up the phone to answer it or to save time making return calls. I don't even think. So now my phone is off. And in my purse in the back seat. And hopefully I will learn to use it as a necessity.
I have been swamped with taxes (they're done!), Dad's anniversary (check), and our relicensure at day care (Friday). But I cannot wait to tell you all what I have in the plans for the near future. I'm so excited to finally let you all in on the details of my next undertaking. I've been keeping it a secret until I can detail it properly.
Any guesses what it could be? MKH and Alexy, no telling!
