My Reward For Bravery

A couple of weeks ago I was talking to my friend MKH. She was telling me that she bought her husband a waffle maker for his birthday. Well at that instant it hit me like a ton of bricks. I knew what I was going to buy for myself for a prize for my MRI!

The picture above is the waffle maker that got delivered today. It makes waffles in the shape of Cinderella's coach. I had researched a new waffle maker a couple of years ago as we only have a Belgian one that we don't really like or use. I emailed the link to Chris, but nothing ever came of it.

When I decided to have the MRI done, I knew that I would give myself something special for being so brave. When I was little, my doctor's office had a treasure chest that we could pick out of after our appointment. It had candies, rings, stickers and a lot of great stuff. It really helped to face the doctor knowing the treasure chest was out at the nurses station. After I had all of my miscarriage procedures, I decided to re-implement the treasure chest theory in my life for medical stuff and it has worked very well. After I got the results of my MRI I still hadn't decided what to get for myself, so I decided to wait until I found something I really wanted. And this was it. I like being brave when it turns out so well.
