It's Late, We're Home

We are all home tonight under our one small roof. We are armed with our very own nebulizer and packs upon packs of vials of albuterol and pulmicort. And kegs of orange pedialyte. We are set for a "reactive airway" weekend at home.

Did I mention that my spa partner and I were going to the George Strait concert tomorrow? Well, that's a no go now. I'm so happy she is understanding while I am so bummed. The concert is over 3 hours away, across a snowy pass late at night so we would be gone from 3pm until around 2 am. Too long for Mommy to survive away from her freshly-sprung hospital prisoner. And way too long for Daddy to handle breathing treatments every four hours, which takes the two of us to hold him down and the 3 year old that has to be in the drama hub of everything. We may still go to dinner though.

I'll give you all of the hoary gorey gooey dehydrated details tomorrow.

But, for the record, Chris owes me big time! I had to hold Bec down twice while they put in his IV, then hold him down again as they took it out along with holding his arms and head for every nebulizer treatment from the respiratory therapists. BIG TIME!!

Poor little one! I'm glad he's out of the hospital, but it certainly means more worry for you as you try to manage at home. WOW! At least in the hospital, you know you've got backup if something goes wrong.
I'm thinking of you and Chris!!

Man, what an ordeal! Yup your hubby owes ya big time!

Mine owes me too, but I'll tell ya later when you have time. :O) I am glad Bec was sprung , you too for that matter! I hope you guys can get some rest, and don't let yourself get run down in the process either.

Glad to hear Bec is able to be home now. I'll be praying that he continues to recover quickly!!

Sorry to hear about the concert. 8^( Mommy sacrifices can be tough sometimes.

Oh my goodness!I am so sorry!Poor little Bec. What an ordeal. You did the right thing to have him admitted if he was that dehydrated, and with my oldest when she went in respiratory distress with her asthma, I was scared with her. All the tubes and needles. You and Chris make a great team!! :)
I'm so jealous about seeing George Strait, he's so awesome, but there will be more concerts!!
Take care all of you!! Glad you are all home safe!!
